Berlusconi Youth has seven handy hints for anybody attending the SBL/AAR (and ETS) conferences in San Francisco in the next few days. It’s some of the most practical and sage advice ever. Be prepared. Read it.
Sir(s),
Something has been troubling me of late.
Science teaches us that the male human being must ejaculate on a regular basis. ETS teaches us that 99% (approx.) on the programme are men who are away from their beloveds for some time. I know one of the esteemed members of your school is participating in ETS so I was wondering if Dunedin (or other) expertise could answer the following:
Are the biological needs satisfied through seeing if any of the 1% are willing?
Are the biological needs satisfied through seeing if any of the 99% are willing?
Are the biological needs satisfied through seeing if the self is willing?
These are obviously slippery theological issues so please can you explain the hard complementarian position?
Forever in His love,
Colin
Colin,
I can’t really help you on this one, not being the author here affiliated with the ETS (we would decidedly not get along), but I would imagine that the solutions you present all come into play at that sausage fest. In the case of the 1%, I would imagine any woman at the meeting would feel not a little bit like Smurfette.
