His last words were ‘idead, bad job’. I’d never heard of him anyway. Regrettably I now hear too much. Who? Room for a rant?… He was not a ‘genius’. He created an empire with his ‘innovative products’, so what? ‘Brave enough to think differently’? Lots of people with independent minds think differently. Brave? Because he took financial risks? But if he had failed would he have ended up cold in the street? He made sure that his Empire existed in a way that ensured monopoly profits. Not only in getting these produced at miniscule costs on the backs of exploited Asian workers, but also in building into all of the product designs, technology barriers that would protect the commercial interests of his Empire and limit the options for consumers – unless they paid a lot more for not much. He made full use of the marketing notion invented by another monopolist. His products are more expensive. His products are disposable, they have to be replaced, they’re destructive to the environment. He was not a liberal. Criticising Fox news and supporting Obama just suggests you might not be a fascist. He was an imperialist and a capitalist and he did not change my world or inspire me. I’ve never had and never will have a Steve Jobs job. What did he do for the planet and humanity? He designed things that people hadn’t thought about, so that they would want them. If he hadn’t someone else would have sooner or later. He just fostered more materialistic greed. People need to cling to heros. I’ve never been religious, don’t need a God, don’t need the Almighty Science, don’t need no messiah, eh. He wuznut the messiah, just a very greedy boy. May he rest in peace…
That would be the sort of restorative justice that Buddhists would understand – and possibly Christians too!

Thanks.
